About Pamela Carvalho
Pamela Carvalho, the owner of Wild Isley Tattoo, has been tattooing for 12 years. Before she ever held a tattoo machine, she was captivated by realism in her art; translating that style into tattooing has not been easy.
“I didn’t really know anything, and the Artists around me did not do realism. They did more of an American Traditional style of tattoo. It was really an uphill battle to try to take my style of art and implement it into tattooing.”
After years of hard work and discovering her voice through color, Pamela cultivated a distinct style of surrealism infused with a millennial, 90s-core vibe. Tattooing became a way for her to fully express herself, merging realism with lively, vibrant imagery.
She compiled this list to empower women who are also pushing tattooing in creative directions while staying true to their personal voice.
